Beverly Hills, an American police force, has launched an investigation into producer Harvey Weinstein and director James Toback.
“The Beverly Hills Police Department recently received several complaints about Harvey Weinstein. These cases are under investigation until more detailed information is published,” said a law enforcement press release.
According to the police, “several complaints” were also received against the director Toback. The authorities began an investigation; the details have not been disclosed.
Recently, many scandals have arisen related to rape or sexual harassment, in the epicenter of which are renowned figures of show business and the film industry. Under investigation for harassment is actor Bill Cosby.

An investigation into Weinstein had previously begun by the Los Angeles police. According to media reports, New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman also launched a civil investigation into Weinstein Co. The Producers Guild of America unanimously voted for the lifelong exclusion of producer Harvey Weinstein from its list of participants, which is at the epicenter of the sexual harassment scandal.
Producers Guild of America on October 16 unanimously excluded Weinstein from among its members. According to the Guild’s statement, according to the statute, Weinstein was given 15 days to prepare a response to the accusations, but instead he decided to refuse membership in the organization.
“In light of Weinstein’s behavior, which received wide publicity, new messages about which continue to surface even now, the National Board of Directors of the Producers Guild of America unanimously voted for Weinstein’s lifelong expulsion,” the guild said in a statement.
